Paypal is the world’s largest electronic payment, money transfer and storage system. It was founded in 2000 and is owned by eBay Inc. Paypal was one of the first to offer online money transfer and storage and has since grown to be the most popular company offering this service. One benefit to consumers is that Paypal accounts remain anonymous as they are only associated with the users email address. Bank accounts or credit cards are then linked to the Paypal account to deposit or withdraw funds.
Paypal doesn’t charge fees for transfers within it’s system or to banks located in the U.S., however it does charge fees to the receiver for funds sent outside the U.S. Paypal currently restricts accounts to users in the U.S. and some other countries and the list is rapidly growing. It is a very convenient way to fun a forex account if the broker accepts Paypal as a payment method. While some do, many forex brokers do not accept Paypal because it is not accepted in the countries where the brokers operate.
